The Spanish public body in charge of promoting Spanish businesses at an international level is the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX). One of its fields of action is international exhibitions.
Through the European Union’s Structural Funds for Regional Development (ERDF), economic aid arrives, which ICEX arranges so that Spanish companies can be present with their stand at international exhibitions.
The financial aid may consist of a percentage of the costs of renting and decorating the stand, or of the transport costs from Spain to the international exhibition site for the samples of products to be exhibited at the stand, or other logistical charges.
There are also calls for subsidies and aid from the regional administrations and from the chambers of commerce.
It is a good idea for your company to be informed about these aids, because they include all the continents in the territorial area and sectors such as fashion, leather, toys, textiles, cosmetics, office furniture, interior design, childcare and baby accessories, sports articles, industrial or energy.
