After the first important decision to exhibit at a trade fair, and the second to choose the right exhibition, this is, no doubt, the third most important decision to make, since subsequent aspects, such as the size, design and assembly of the stand at the fair, depend on it.
Take as a reference the general map of the fair, or that of the area for activities such as yours, and ask the organization for information on which companies occupy the rest of the stands, to see what size you want your fair stand to have depending on its situation.
With the map in front of you, consider three tips:
- Suitable areas are those close by or on the way to common places such as toilets, refreshment areas or coffe shops, as well as those close to conference rooms, because they are fixed meeting points for visitors.
- Areas with poor visibility and no exit are not suitable, nor are areas close to stages because they are constant noise points during the exhibition.
- It is not advisable to get as close as possible to the big companies in your sector, a more intelligent strategy is to look at the neighbouring stand for a company with complementary activity, and recommend each other to your visitors.
