What is Salón Gourmets?

Salón Gourmets is an international trade show focused on premium products, bringing together tastings, live cooking demos, competitions, awards, and a full lineup of events. It’s geared toward industry professionals—chefs, hoteliers, distributors, specialty retailers, and importers/exporters—and is not open to the general public.

A Look Back at the History of Salón Gourmets

Salón Gourmets was launched in 1987 by Grupo Gourmets, pioneers in promoting food culture in Spain. That first edition, with just a few dozen exhibitors, planted the seed for what would become a major event attracting thousands of industry professionals.

Over the years, the fair continued to grow, becoming international in the early 1990s. In 2009, it moved to IFEMA Madrid, a venue that finally offered the space needed to reach its full potential. Since then, every spring, Madrid transforms into Europe’s gourmet capital.
